Creating Your Account

Learn how to create and set up your Living Stories Portal account.

Sign Up Process​

The Living Stories Portal uses Clerk authentication to provide secure access to your stories and projects.

Steps to Create an Account​

  1. Navigate to the Living Stories Portal homepage
  2. Click the Sign In button
  3. You will be presented with authentication options
  4. Choose your preferred sign-in method:
    • Email and password
    • Social authentication (if configured)
    • Single Sign-On (if available)

First Time Setup​

After creating your account, you'll be automatically signed in and redirected to your dashboard.

What Happens Next​

  • Your user profile is created in the system
  • A personal workspace is initialized
  • You're ready to create your first story

Authentication​

The portal uses Clerk for authentication, which provides:

  • Secure Sessions: Your login sessions are encrypted and managed securely
  • User Management: Easy profile management through the user button in the top-right corner
  • Sign Out: Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select "Sign Out"

Browser Compatibility​

The Living Stories Portal works best with modern browsers:

  • Chrome: Version 90 or higher (recommended)
  • Firefox: Version 88 or higher
  • Safari: Version 14 or higher
  • Edge: Version 90 or higher

The portal is not yet available for mobile.

Troubleshooting Sign-In Issues​

If you encounter problems signing in:

  1. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes cached data can cause issues
  2. Check Browser Compatibility: Ensure you're using a supported browser
  3. Verify Email: Make sure you've confirmed your email address
  4. Password Reset: Use the "Forgot Password" option if needed
